About Rivergate Lawn & Garden

Three generations,
one valley.

Grandad started with one mower and a trailer in 1978. We have the same round today, plus a few hundred more.

There are fourteen of us now and we still answer the office phone ourselves. Most of our customers came from a neighbour telling them about us, which is the only kind of advertising that has ever really worked for us.

We give you a day and we keep it. Same day every week from then on.

Questions

Before you call.

How much will my lawn cost?

Most yards up to a quarter acre land between $95 and $320 a month depending on how often you want us and whether you add the beds. We will give you the number in writing before anything starts.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No, and we never have. Every plan is month to month. Tell us to stop and we stop at the end of that month.

Will it be the same people each week?

Yes. Crews keep their own rounds, so you get the same two faces. If someone is off we will tell you who is coming instead.

What happens if it rains?

We move you to the next dry day that week and you are not charged twice. Long spells of rain are the one thing that shifts the schedule.

Do you take the clippings away?

Always, on every plan. Leaving them bagged by the kerb is not something we do.
